Neutral Colours

I actually shot this look in 2015 and my love for neutral colours is still going strong! Although I styled this outfit 6 months ago, I still think that it almost applies to today’s climate simply because it’s a mix of warm and wet weather dressing. Pairing a chunky knit with a short skirt is my way of combating the 6 day spring period that we have over here.

As I always do, I broke up my colour block outfit with accessories in a complementary colour. Brown and cream are two neutral colours that work beautifully together, plus the colour brown is life so it was an obvious choice. If you’re looking for an outerwear piece to wear in this weird season that we call spring where it’s raining 24/7 but it’s still warm outside, you should definitely opt for a lightweight trench. It’s a classic piece that instantly lifts and completes an outfit.

Because I styled this outfit months ago, the items that I’m wearing are no longer available but I’ve linked to similar pieces from the stores that I bought the clothes from so happy shopping!

Trench – Zara
Jumper – Topshop
Skirt – River Island
Shoes – Dune
Bag – Zara

For more on how I style neutral colours, take a look at my camel and brown post. I’ve got a few more of these ootd’s lined up so keep your eyes peeled. What sort of things would you like to see more of?
