The fact that my last three posts have been on suits is definitely saying something. Clearly my love for menswear suiting is strong and I’m definitely going to be working on how I can take a suit that’s regarded as quite a refined piece and rework it into something more relaxed.
With this look, I’ve kept the classic vibe because let’s face it, it’s a damn good look and Mr Model here is killing it with ease. But I have tried to do something a little different so that this blue suit doesn’t seem so generic as this can quickly become the case with tailored and co-ordinated pieces.
Layering is huge for me and using this camel polo as a base is what sets the suit apart (yes I know it’s camel again!) Not only does it add another element in terms of texture, it breaks the blue suit up and provides a subtle casualness that I love. Playing on textures further, I’ve paired the suit with an over shirt rather than a dress shirt because of the woolen finish and I completed the outfit with a lightweight suede coat.
What sort of style do you guys reckon I should take on in my next post? Let me know in the comments and don’t forget to check out my last men’s post on how to style a brown suit.
