The Daytime Date Outfit

I don’t know about you but I tend to have fail-safe options when it comes down to dressing for certain situations. When I need an outfit for a job interview, I always pull out the culottes and a classic white shirt. With my outfits for a night out with my girls, a skin tight bodycon dress never fails me. But, when it comes down to an outfit for a daytime date, the struggle seeps in. Why? Because in my eyes, a daytime date outfit doesn’t require as much glamming up as an evening date does, and with this comes the worry of looking too casual.

Enter my take on the daytime date outfit. For me, it sits nicely in-between the over-the-top and way too causal spectrum and is ideal for a summer lunch or rooftop drinks. In essence, it’s quite a simple outfit. A shirt dress, heeled boots and an unstructured sleeveless jacket isn’t mind-blowing, but coupled with silver accessories (which have become my favourite as of late) and a subtle peek at a lacy bralette, it’s a fun and flirty outfit that you’re sure to feel comfortable in.

I think you nailed the daytime date look. Not too out-there but still very trendy!
